Are you passionate about showcasing the natural wonders of Finland during the winter season? Do you have excellent English language skills and the ability to communicate in other languages? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Seasonal Winter Adventure Tour Guide.
Job Description:
As a Seasonal Winter Adventure Tour Guide, you will be responsible for providing our guests with unforgettable experiences in the stunning winter landscapes of Finland. Your main duties will include:
1. Leading tour groups to various winter activity locations, including but not limited to Northern Lights tours, snowmobiling, ice fishing, dog sledding, and snowshoeing.
2. Ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants during winter activities.
3. Guiding guests in the search for the mesmerizing Northern Lights, providing information about this natural phenomenon and assisting them in capturing the best possible photographs.
4. Providing cultural insights and sharing knowledge about the local history, traditions, and wildlife.
5. Organizing transportation to and from activity locations, and, if needed, driving guests in Finland.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
1. Strong proficiency in English. Proficiency in other languages (such as Chinese, Japanese, Russian, etc.) is a significant advantage.
2. A valid driver's license allowing you to drive in Finland, along with excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
3. Passion for winter activities, including a deep knowledge of the Northern Lights and the ability to provide expert guidance during such experiences.
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to connect with guests and ensure a positive experience.
5. Knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures is a plus.
Contract Duration:
This position is seasonal, starting in the autumn and ending in the spring. The specific dates may vary depending on the year and weather conditions.
